Blockchain developer Gamavrs has announced that more prominent poker pros have ed the Poker Heroes Club, the world’s first NFT poker club, which was launched back in February in partnership with the World Poker Tour (WPT).
The new set of poker celebrities has also been added to the NFT collection created by Gamavrs which players can use to access WPT’s newest online poker platform, WPT Global. The NFT collectibles have been integrated into the platform which is now live in more than 85 countries across the globe.
The latest to the Poker Heroes NFT project are Poker Hall of Famer Phil Ivey, online poker legend Tom Dwan, and superstar DJ Steve Aoki. All three now have their own Poker Heroes NFT avatars which will distinguish them from other players playing at WPT Global.
Other poker celebrities who are also part of the Poker Heroes Club include Brad Owen, Andrew Lichtenberger, Patrik Antonius, Joseph Cheong, Vince Van Patten, Joe Stevenson, Matt Savage, Adam Owen and Johnny Moreno. Famous female poker pros have also become of the club, such as Maria Ho, Lynn Gilmartin and Maria Konnikova.
Access NFTs for WPT Global 395m4e
NFTs developed by Gamavrs serve as access to WPT Global as well as other online platforms that Gamavrs could partner with in the future. The NFTs entitle holders to various perks and benefits, including securing seats to freeroll tournaments worth more than $100,000, exclusive access to LearnWPT content, Discord hip, access to WPT live tournaments and other VIP events, competing against celebrities on WPT Global, as well as taking part in million-dollar giveaways.
Gamavrs is planning to launch 9,999 NFTs as part of the Poker Heroes project. The first 250 NFT avatars which were made available for pre-sale minting back in February were already sold out. Gamavrs will launch an additional 2,000 avatars on May 12.
Meysan Moradpour of Gamavrs said they will be launching more avatars for poker players and fans worldwide according to demand.
In October 2021, Gamavrs also worked with Ivey in the Moments NFT auction. The company immortalized poker’s most significant moments through NFTs, connecting fans to their poker idols. During the auction, Gamavrs helped facilitate the sale of an NFT titled “A Legendary Bluff in Poker History” which featured Ivey’s iconic triple-barrel bluff. It was bought for 40ETH.
