The Caribbean Poker Party (P) will now be turned into an online festival. Instead of travelling to the Bahamas in November, players will now have to go over to partypoker to take part in the 2020 P. 1dc3y

The P Online edition will be headlined by a $5 million-guaranteed Main Event. While the prize money on offer is much lower than the $10 million guaranteed in 2019, partypoker has also made the entry fee more “affordable” at $5,300, down by $5,000 from last year, which means more players will get the chance to participate in the tournament.

While partypoker has yet to release the complete line-up of events, it’s understood the schedule won’t be as jam-packed as it was in 2019, with the prizes on offer also not as huge. partypoker has had good success with its online tournaments in 2020 even with major changes and adjustments.

The P debuted in the Bahamas in 2018, attracting a record number of participants. partypoker ran it again in 2019 and based on the response decided to make it an annual event. However, the third P in the Bahamas had to be cancelled due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Rather than cancel the entire P tournament, partypoker like a number of other online poker operators decided to move the land based poker tournament to the virtual felts.

partypoker remains confident that the online version of the P will continue to be a big draw and turn out to be success for the poker room.

Many Players Will Miss the Caribbean Magic 73374

The Caribbean has remained a top poker destination since PokerStars hosted the inaugural PokerStars Caribbean Adventure event back in 2004. More than just the competition, it is the beauty of the venue, coupled with extracurricular activities, that draws many players from different parts of the world. At the beach paradise, just about any poker tournament becomes a special holiday experience.

Unfortunately this year, players will miss out on traveling to the Caribbean and spending some time in sun and sea due to COVID-19 restrictions. Holding online versions of live events is great, and is a proof of partypoker’ s commitment to keep the action going for players, but there will be a certain void that only live events can fill.
