The Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker (PACOOP) is officially back! PokerStars PA‘s flagship tournament series is returning this weekend, kicking off on Saturday, September 19. 391b1n

PACOOP 2020 features a total of 50 events, with a massive $1.5 million in guarantees on offer across 17 days of exciting online action. It now becomes the largest-guaranteed online poker festival in the Keystone State.

This year’s schedule essentially replicates that of the inaugural event, except for a few slight changes.

The buy-in range remains at $50 – $500, but the $30 rebuy has now been removed. The line-up of events consists of a total of 41 Hold’ems (last year there were 42), 6 Omahas, and 3 other variants. A new Pot-Limit 5-Card Draw event has been added to the schedule.

The number of Progressive KO events have been increased to 8, up from 4 during the 2019 edition. The schedule now features a new Phased format, while Big Antes, Escalating Antes, Rebuy and Zoom have been dropped.

$290K Guaranteed During Opening Weekend 2154c

The opening weekend will see eight events playing out, with $290,000 in total prize money up for grabs. The action kicks off with the Nightly Stars – PACOOP Warm-Up, a $100 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Event that features $50,000 in guarantees.

Among the huge events taking place is the Sunday Special (September 20), which is set to give away $100,000 in guarantees for a buy-in of $100. It will then be followed by the $10,000-guaranteed Sunday Supersonic which has an entry fee of $50.

The festival’s main attraction is the Main Event which takes place on October 4. The event features $200,000 in guarantees, suring last year’s prize pool of $179,200. The entry fee remains at $300, but players can enter into the event for a fraction of the price via satellites.

PokerStars PA will also run a Main Event freeroll for players who are able to make at least a $30 deposit using the code “PACOOP” before 2pm ET on Sunday, October 4. The freeroll kicks off right after. A Main Event winner will be crowned on October 5.

Second Chance Freerolls 3n6n3o

If you bust out of any PACOOP event empty-handed, don’t fret, because you will automatically earn a ticket to a Second Chance Freeroll where you can win a share of $1,250 worth of PACOOP satellite tickets. The Second Chance Freerolls take place daily until October 3.
